Enriching Communities through food and friendships

Founded in 2013, Be Enriched has been working hard to reduce social isolation through food and friendships. We bring people together to share knowledge and cultivate long-standing relationships over a bite.

Currently, we are running three main projects: Community Canteens in Tooting, Clapham, and Castle, the Food Bus and Food Float - London's first lower cost, mobile greengrocers and community space, and Kids Clubs providing food, fun, and friendship to children and their families during school holidays. Our Community Canteens served over 3,000 meals in 2022, working with 650 volunteers. Each week at three different locations in South London, both individual as well as corporate volunteer groups get the chance to step into the shoes of professional chefs and prepare and serve a three-course meal using surplus food to the Canteen Guests.
