“Battery Park City Authority's public programs and events in the parks, at 6 River Terrace, and at the Community Center at Stuyvesant High School offer a wide range of activities that encourage fun, physical recreation, relaxation, entertainment, learning and environmental awareness.”

We believe in the value of play to children’s social, emotional, and physical growth and development. BPCA's programs provide opportunities for children to socialize, develop fine and gross motor abilities, and have fun! Our play-based approach provides experiential learning opportunities as children create, build, imagine, think, move, and grow. Moreover, BPCA's public programming is mixed-age, where children learn from one another and build confidence with their peers. Whether it be a weekend workshop or an ongoing class, our programs offer a space for parents and caregivers to engage their children in meaningful play, storytelling, music, and art.
