To address our technological driven world and the corona virus impact that limits face to face meetings, NhNUSA is offering video conferencing meetings and presentations, run by our trained volunteer leaders.We are also looking for new leaders to conduct video conferenced meetings to meet the demand.We know the impact on this economy by corona virus will require people to be ready for job loss and to continue with their career advancements. With incredible resources on web site, linkedin and meeting groups we continue to be of great value to our members and the partner organizations we assist.
When we began, the unemployment rate in New Jersey was close to 10% which was devistating to our local economy. Today the Unemployment rate is at 3.2 % in NJ. Even with such low rates many of our neighbors are still having a hard time finding jobs and finding sustainble wages in the jobs they have. There are still many population groups with barriers to employment and serious challenges that they must over come to find a steady income to affort them to live in this higher than average cost of living area of the country. Our Organization helped over 1,000 people back to work though our meetings and electronic resources. We are continuing to evolve as an organiztion and continuing to help in many ways that all the revolves around our core principle of helping our Neighbors. Creating collaboration with other organizations, providing leadership training, encouraging companies and individuals to give back to their community, and to start efforts to address social issues that are not getting the attention that is needed, continuing to make free resources avaiable to everyone to advance in their careers, change a job, find a job, and to connect with other non profits who can help those with barriers to employment.
